Here are some steps on how to create a resume that can be uploaded to sites such as Career Central.

Step One

You will need to create a resume for the job that you are applying for.

  • I have created one that you may look at here to get adjusted to how one is done:
    My Resume(.DOC file)
  • Make sure that you fill out the resume with background information that is useful to the position you are filling out for.
  • For Example the resume that I did above (My Resume), is for a job in Web Design and Development.
  • I have also included a blank Resume so that you may enter in your own content:

Step Two

Now you are ready to start uploading your resume so that employers may look at it.

We are going to start off by logging into Greenville Tech's Career Central
by using your Access ID and password that you created when you registered.
(If you haven't registered yet, Click Here to get started).

Step Three

Now you will need to click on the Upload A Resume link

Step Four

Now you should see this at the bottom of the screen:

To upload your resume:
  • First click on the Browse... button and search for your file on your computer then hit Open.
  • Now hit the Upload Your Resume button.
  • Note: Make sure that you follow the steps and instructions on the site to insure a successful upload.

Step Six

You should now see this page showing a confirmation that your resume has been uploaded:

Step Seven

Next set your Resume Authorization and hit the Save Authorization button.

Step Eight

You should now get this screen after selecting your Authorization:


Your resume will be held upon review by the school (Greenville Tech).
